Reischauer Visiting Professor of Japanese Studies, Harvard University, and Professor of Anthropology, University of Hawai’i at Mānoa  will discuss her 2013 book, “Pink Globalization: Hello Kitty’s Trek Across the Pacific" and provide hints into Japanese culture of cuteness.
